Living in Kirribilli is so convenient - you are minutes away from the City by car, bicycle, ferry or train – or you could even walk there across the Harbour Bridge. Located just 2km north of the CBD, Kirribilli is one of the city's oldest, most established and affluent neighbourhoods.
The suburb contains Kirribilli House (the official Sydney residence of the Prime Minister), and Admiralty House (the official Sydney residence of the Governor-General) is the oldest surviving building in the area dating to 1842.
The centre of Kirribilli has a vibrant village feel with a strong sense of community. Mostly though, the streets are peaceful and quiet and many have lovely Harbour Bridge, City and Opera House views.
These views can be appreciated from many vantage points, particularly from Bradfield Park directly under the Harbour Bridge, which is a very popular spot from which to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks.
There are plenty of apartment buildings here, many of them in the Art Deco style as well as prestige contemporary designs. And there are also some very grand and imposing houses and some lovely family terrace homes.
There is no shortage of lively eateries in the area and most of the shops necessary for life’s essentials. The renowned Kirribilli Markets are a fortnightly feast of upcycled clothes, new fashion, local designers, food, drink and live entertainment in a great setting close to Milsons Point station.
For the best of all worlds, Kirribilli is it!
